OUR STORY

Before Marc and Russ joined forces and became best friends they were independent trainers for several years at a personal training facility in Passaic County, NJ. They never really thought of personal training as a business but more as a rewarding way of making a living by helping others lead healthier lives.

With only so many hours in a day they found themselves with a packed schedule and no room to fit more clients into their program.

While speaking one day in Russ’ living room they came up with the idea of opening their own personal training facility. But they wanted their place to be different. They wanted to create a facility where people could come get personal training in a relaxed, non-intimidating environment. They also realized that most people do not want to go to the gym for an hour or more. They want to get in and get out. So the two set out to create a program where people could come in without fear and get their workout done in as little as 30 minutes.

In June of 2011 NJ Fitness Factory – Montclair was born.  NJFF – Montclair took off and has seen great success. However, the 2 friends wanted to help more people. They realized that there was a segment of the community that simply could not afford their service. They wanted to help get these folks in shape too.

With their Montclair location getting fuller, they decided to open a second location. September of 2013 NJ Fitness Factory – Bloomfield opened their doors. The Bloomfield facility offers 1on1 personal training as well but has also incorporated a group fitness training program that anyone can afford.

Both are no longer personal trainers themselves but have assembled a team of world class trainers and nutritionists that work hard to get their clients very visible results.  They’ve always said it’s going to be hard to feel good on the inside if you feel bad about yourself on the outside. At NJFF they work on improving both.
